Coir Pith material is compressed at a 5:1 ratio by a hydraulic pressing machine to produce a 5 kg block, which expands up to 75-80 litres by its volume. 5 kg blocks are mostly used in large volumes to prepare plant-based substrates with a mix of perlite, Sphagnum peat moss etc. Coir Pith has the characteristics to mix with any other substrates to give better yield in the plantation.
Coir Chips are the cut pieces of coconut husk. Prepared using the excellent quality whole husk, these husk chips are good bedding ground allowing oxygen to freely flow around plant roots.
